Looking great! Just ordered the same tires for my 1980 XS650. It came with 100/90 19 but all I could find in a WWW is an Avon 110/90 19 (and then the matching 130/90 16 which is stock size) I hope it works out and I don't end up on four tries like you had to go through :)! Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I think that a 110/90-19 should fit, I debated doing that myself? It took me forever to find a 100/90-19 WWW and it was the Avon venom. I finally broke down and went to a local dealer and they ended up finding it for me, I definitely paid the dealer price for it. I found the rear 130/90-16 on the internet here http://www.kgmotorcycletires.com/avon_venom_x.htm
ReplyDeleteThanks Again,

^^Thanks for the tips! I actually found your site by googling red mags on an XS. I really wanted to do it but was afraid it might be too much and was considering black. After seeing your pics I already made an appt. to drop them off for red powder ;)! Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteNo problem, I'm trying to make it easier for people then it's been for me. I've also been trying to go back through the posts to add hyper links to the places where I got parts, unless it's a local shop. As for the red rims, I was worried about them too, but I'm glad that I went all red.
ReplyDeleteThanks Again!

Thanks for the post man. It's a sick bike. I actually have a question about an ATV not a bike, but I found your site and thought you might be able to help. I've been considering black rock wheels for my Polaris 550 X2. What do you think?
