Well the electrical nightmare came to a end late last night. This afternoon I pieced her back together and fired it up. The new Carbs worked great! There's not many pictures today because most of the time I was out riding!
Can you believe it? It's a picture taken someplace other then my house! Today I went for a ride with my buddy Cody, that's his Triumph in the background. While we were out I took a quick picture for all the non-believers, that may have thought this day would never come. I also liked the location of this picture because of the fine looking Ford Escort in the distance, I felt that it really balanced out the photo.

ReplyDeleteRoger,
ReplyDeleteI felt it added a nice touch, almost like a sun set in the late summer, one might even say glorious.

WOW....just found this link off the XS forum. Read through it all and am really impressed!! So what's still left to do?? Just the seat upholstery it looks like to me. Now I need to buy another XS so I can do this. I have an SF daily rider and an E that my son and I are going to make a Cafe Racer out of it for him.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't too sure about the bobber.....but you've made a believer outta me. So now I'm looking for another basket case!! What's your total cost so far?
James in CA
OH and BTW....thank you for your service. (Especially since they make you where that really cool special-ed vest!!)

James in Ca,
ReplyDeleteThanks, there is still a lot of little stuff to do, mainly cosmetic stuff like the seat and a little more painting. I don't want to say what the total cost is here, just in case I ever want to sell it with out sacrificing all the time and labor I've thrown at it. But if you would like a ball park figure you can email me using the form located just to the right of here. All in all it was very reasonable. Once again thanks for your comment and feel free to keep me updated with your progress if you do end up doing a bobber.
