Same deal with my clutch mount it was rusty also, so it too got the spray.
The Headlight assembly came today what a pain to assemble, no destruction's (instructions) in the box or anything, but it works, so no worries, click here to see where I got it. Part # LG-079 (Headlight), with the Headlight mounting brackets part # LG-52, I also made quick run to a local hard ware store to get some stainless Allen head mounting bolts as you can see in the above picture.
Any advice on putting the headlight together? This thing is really a hassle
ReplyDeleteEric,
ReplyDeleteAh yes, I remember that I was about to the point where I was going to pull out my hair when it went together. How do you like those instructions because if you where as lucky as me you didn't get any. I'm pretty sure that I lost one of the retraining clips too during the install. Well I'm not sure how far you got but let me know if you can't figure it out.

It feels like it is going to take WAY too much force to get the clips in. With only one clip in it will need about a 1/4" of movement to get one in on the other side.
ReplyDelete...and haha yea I got a page of super worthless pictures
Eric,
ReplyDeleteI'll see If I can take mine apart and take some pics.

That would be great. Or I can email you a picture of mine and see if it jogs your memory.
ReplyDeleteEric,
ReplyDeleteDefinitely shoot me a e-mail! I'm sure that if I could see it that would help tons!

I conquered the headlight but I'm sure I'll be asking you more questions soon...Thanks!
ReplyDeleteEric,
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it! There's always a little more personal victory when you figure something out yourself, so I'm glad that you did!

Did you use the stock master cylinder and lever or did you get something else? Also are you reusing the stock clutch levers?
ReplyDeleteGoblin,
ReplyDeleteYes, and Yes. All stock levers/Master Cylinder.
