Day 7 "Low Rider" 23 Dec 2008

Front Brake is done, so I wanted to see how much an Ol' XS 1100 could be lowered to help the vision of what it could be.

  2. The hard tail is what did all the lowering. If you are keeping your shocks there's not many options other then getting shorter shocks but then you run the risk of rubbing on your fender, so hard tail is about the only way.

  7. Mr/Mrs/Ms/Unknown,
The hardtail is merely a triangle based engineering feet that involves the forward part being welded to the frame and the rearward part being bolted to the existing shock mounts. So in answer to your questions (both of them) they are attached in the rear via hardware. I hope this helps.
