Day 64 "Good manifolds don't suck!" 17 Feb 2009
They worked like a Champ after all four carbs were completely re-built and thoroughly cleaned she purrs like a kitten, especially with those straight pipes.

I was looking for the section where you put those pipes on. I have an 82, and I hate the megaphone mufflers. Did you just chop the original ones, or put different ones on altogether?

ReplyDeleteI think that you are looking for Day 23 "Gripes Pipes." There wasn't any cutting. Pull off your old mufflers not the headers but the mufflers. Where the slide off I replaced them with automotive tips I think they were about $7 and they slid right on.
